HOUSTON, TX – The whole might be greater than the sum of its parts. But you have to admit, components made out of composite materials are pretty cool. The George R. Brown Convention Center is hosting the JEC Americas Composites Show and Conferences. An event that showcases the many advances in composites manufacturing and 3D printing. Frédérique Mutel, President and CEO of JEC group says, “Here in the exhibition, you will see a lot of wonderful products. You will see automotive applications, you will see aerospace, marine. A lot of applications where likeness is needed.” But copying something is one thing. The key is to do it quickly, and today’s 3D printers promise to do just that. Nothing looks quicker at the composites show, than this 3D printed Shelby Cobra.
